This blog is created from the journal I've kept while documenting and reflecting on research during a masters' degree in design at the University of the West of England.

An evaluation.

January 2, 2017

This project has been about a learning journey. I think I have tried very hard to evaluate it all the way through. Many of the thoughts on these pages have been written over a week after each event, and this blog has been created from my journal.

I have also tried to remain reflective, and to analyse my approach. I have been aware of my interest in process as an end in itself. Most of the processes I've engaged with are digital. I'm interested in how artists and designers interface with current and emerging technology.

As for the work completed?  I am happy with elements of it. I would have really liked to comlplete at least 16 blocks even just as 3d printed models. The brief was to investigate a problem rather than solve it. I've chosen to explore materials and process in this project. I've been very conscious of my workflow. It's been interesting to look at my thinking process as well as design methodologies.

I'm looking forward to investigating how design methods integrate with digital processes as I progress on the course.
